Zoom Application

The AXL Zoom integration allows you to automatically generate Zoom meeting links for your scheduled events and bookings. This guide will walk you through adding the app, using its features, and removing the integration if no longer needed.

Prerequisites: A Zoom account.


Adding the App

Follow these steps to connect your Zoom account to AXL:

  1. Log into your AXL administrator account.
  2. In the left-hand navigation menu, scroll down and click on Settings, then select Applications.
  3. In the Applications list, find the Zoom card and click the Connect button.
  4. You will be redirected to the Zoom login page. Sign in to your Zoom account.
  5. Review the permissions requested by AXL and click Allow (or Authorize) to grant access.
  6. Once authorized, you will be automatically redirected back to AXL.
  7. A prompt will appear asking you to set a Title for this connection (e.g., "John's Zoom Account"). Enter the title and click Connect.
Your Zoom account is now successfully linked to AXL!


Usage

Feature: Automatically Schedule Zoom Meetings for Bookings

Use-case: When clients book a time slot with you via your AXL booking page, this feature automatically creates a corresponding meeting in your Zoom account and provides the joining details to the client.

Prerequisites: * You must have successfully connected the Zoom app (see "Adding the App" above).

You must have an existing Meeting template created in AXL.

How to use:

  1. Navigate to Meetings in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the meeting you want to configure (e.g., "Test Meeting") or create a new one.
  3. Scroll down to the Meeting format section.
  4. Click on the Zoom button.
  5. A dropdown menu labeled Integration will appear. Select the Zoom account you connected in the previous steps.
  6. Click "Save changes" at the bottom of the page.

Result: Now, whenever a user visits your booking page, selects a date and time, and schedules an event, AXL will automatically generate a scheduled Zoom meeting. The meeting will instantly appear under the Upcoming tab in your Zoom portal.


Removing the App

If you no longer wish to use the Zoom integration, you can easily disconnect it and remove the app.

Step A: Remove from AXL

  1. Log into your AXL account.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Applications.
  3. Find your connected Zoom account and click Manage or Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Step B: Remove from your Zoom Account (Complete De-authorization)

  1. Log into your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Click Manage in the top right corner, then select Added Apps from the menu on the left.
  3. Locate AXL in the list of installed apps.
  4. Click the Remove button.


Implications of De-authorization & Data Removal

Implications: Once the app is removed, AXL will immediately lose access to your Zoom account. AXL will no longer be able to automatically generate Zoom links for newly booked meetings. Any meetings that were already scheduled prior to de-authorization will remain in your Zoom account, but they will no longer be synced with AXL.

Data Removal: Upon removing the app from Zoom, AXL immediately deletes your Zoom OAuth access and refresh tokens from our database. We do not retain any access to your Zoom profile data once the integration is deleted.
